nooker

The Nook has its uses: as a tablet it doesn’t justify itself much — pages are awkward to flip through, and browsers don’t recognize the standard Nook buttons — but as an e-reader it’s excellent.

You can set up Dropbox sync (even automate it, which I did), created a separate email address in my domain and a Dropbox account just for the Nook. Now I can load it up with books and apps.

For now I’m using Opera; couldn’t find a version of Inoreader for that old Android, nor an XBMC client. But I’m not searching all that actively anymore — I mostly pick it up just to read. Read a bit of something new, then I’ll reread some old stuff — found a “complete, uncensored” edition of The Twelve Chairs, curious what the differences are.
