The eternal needle for a primus stove — to buy or not to buy?

Today I heard the claim that in order to live longer, one should live more economically: breathe less, move less, eat less (and therefore digest less), meditate, spare one’s nerves….

In general, this sounds quite plausible. Indeed, if you use an engine carefully, it will wear out less and run longer without major repairs.

But if you extrapolate this idea (and about extrapolation there is a wonderful XKCD comic), we’ll arrive at the baobab concept — don’t get nervous, breathe slowly, and as Simyonovych sang, “you’ll be a baobab for a thousand years, until you die.”

I want to be a cheetah) Maybe not the strongest, but swift and graceful! To chase prey and nap on a branch in the jungle) So the heart pounds at 200 beats per minute… And how long do those cheetahs live anyway?…. ))

It will be interesting to read this text in 30–40 years, when everything that can ache will ache, a couple of joints will be artificial, and some other devices will have replaced some organs (I’m counting on a mechanical arm)))… I wonder, will I still share this thought of today?…..

UPD FROM 2024#

As of today, only 7 years have passed, but my view hasn’t changed yet.
