We bought some furniture on Amazon — specifically, a couple of small tables.
They turned out to be yet another confirmation of the saying “cheap fish makes bad soup.” One — a coffee table — feels like it’s made of paper and will snap if you put your feet on it. It’ll hold magazines, but not too thick a stack.
The other one, meant to go under the TV, is assembled with plastic legs. Frightening. And I expected it to be wider and taller than it turned out to be in real life.
Now the plan is to finally buy something proper at IKEA, and this stuff will get shuffled off to some corner for the time being.
Next up: the battle for internet access….
