I’ve noticed that I no longer trust “things I read on Facebook”.
If before, upon reading some interesting fact, I would be surprised and note to myself “how interesting, I should remember this” — now an interesting fact triggers the thought: “but how do I know this isn’t an AI-generated story made up for likes?”
Although maybe it’s just old age and has nothing to do with generative pre-trained transformers…
PS. I went to verify the story about “hit it with a hammer — $1, knew where to hit — $999”, and it seems the story is true, and my skepticism is somewhat biased…
PPS. Looks like I’ve set up an RSS proxy in Telegram, so I’ll also use this post to test it.
