After Flood

A few days ago, we returned home.
Well, “home” — meaning the place we’re renting. We tried during this time to find an alternative, but couldn’t come across anything decent; only lost time and energy.
And “returned” — meaning we brought back the things we had taken with us for what was supposed to be a two-week move, which turned into almost two months. All our other belongings, including the furniture, had been packed up and taken away — and now finally brought back.
But the unpacking is our own task. The movers reassembled the furniture, but didn’t unpack any boxes — so we’re once again living among boxes, slowly working our way through them…
