Less than a year has passed (July to February: about 8 months) since replacing the strings from “whatever was on there” to Yamaha NS 110. After half a year of light strumming, the brand-new strings already look like this:

The first time I changed strings with my own hands. The first string (as always) snapped, but at the time the guitar was hanging on the wall and we weren’t even home. I suspect the cat may have helped, though there’s no evidence.
